Celebration Farm is located 5 miles north of Iowa city in Johnson county. This 5.36-acre site ws previously composed of a few outbuildings on a fallow piece of land used primarily as a small scale junkyard in 2010. That made it hard to see what was possible for the site. When some people heard about the vision for the property, they looked at the site and said it was a "pipe dream." MMS, however, worked with the owner, applying imagination and vision backed by knowledge and experience to bring their dream to life.

The site was already zoned as commercial property when the work began. The list of work was still substantial and required a major site planning process and a number of approvals before serious construction began. The result was certainly worth the effort: Celebration Barn won Building of the Year from Master Builders of Iowa in 2012!
