Watts Group, Pugh Hagan Prahm law firm relocating to new site

CORALVILLE – MMS Consultants has built many longtime partnerships in 41 years of business, and it’s always nice to help our friends mark a milestone.

Watts Group BuildingSo we’re especially proud to provide civil engineering services for the new headquarters of the Watts Group and Pugh Hagan Prahm law firm. The two businesses will each occupy a floor of the new two-story office building at 425 E. Oakdale Blvd., which is being built by developer Gary Watts’ Prime Ventures Construction.

MMS Consultants provided engineering services for a major site plan, surveying and construction staking.

MMS Vice President Duane Musser, P.L.A., said the site’s location near Muddy Creek and the River Products quarry posed a few challenges.

“The site required challenging excavation for footings and underground utilities because of proximity to the creek and bedrock is near the surface there,” Musser said.

Construction is under way, and Watts Group estimates a March 1 occupancy.
