Opened in June 2025, the new CIVCO Medical Solutions headquarters in Coralville, Iowa, was completed on an accelerated timeline, requiring MMS to fast-track construction documents and coordinate closely with the City of Coralville to meet critical approval deadlines.
MMS led the development of the subdivision and public infrastructure supporting the site, managing all planning and construction coordination on adjacent timelines. A major design challenge involved a trunk sewer running through the site; MMS carefully configured the layout to preserve the existing easement while accommodating the building and amenities, all while navigating various site constraints.
MMS partnered with the City of Coralville to utilize the city-made wetland directly south for stormwater quality. The challenging existing grades provided increased design efforts for proposed grading to minimize disruption to adjacent development and property.
CIVCO was founded in 1981 and designs, manufactures, and markets medical products to make image-guided procedures safer. CIVCO is a global organization with customers in 100 countries and partners with some of the top ultrasound manufacturers. The new 96,000 square foot facility situated on 11 acres brings together production and corporate teams in one space to streamline workflows, enhance collaboration, and support the company’s continued global growth.
